Apple Crumble

(Step-by-Step)

with Mai (& Kitten's implementation)

~Irresistibly sweet~

To make this possible, you need:

6-7 yellow apples (I used Red!)

200 grams butter

220 grams flour

200 grams castor sugar (I used brown sugar)

Slivered almonds (I used chopped almonds)

A spoon of salt

2 spoons Cinnamon (I added this to the recipe for a yummier taste)

A few raisons (I excluded this.. me no likes)

Method

Make sure all your ingredients are out and ready!

Put the flour and salt in a bowl..

200 grams of brown sugar..

Mix the brown sugar, flour, salt, cinnamon and chopped almonds

all in one bowl..

Add 150 grams of melted butter into the mix..

Mix with hands till it turns into crumbles (like shown in photo)

Keep in fridge for around 40-50 mins

*this helps in making it crunchy*
(I was in a hurry.. i just kept it for 30 mins) =P

While your crumble is freezing in the fridge..

Chop the apples into cubes..

(I was told later by Mai that I should of removed

the skin.. oh well.. healthy nutrients..)

Make sure all your apples are chopped and ready to be cooked..

(Don't copy me.. remove the skin..) =P

In a deep frying pan, melt 50 grams of butter..

Add the chopped apples and start stirring..

Leave for a few minutes to cook till soft..
(Careful not to let it over-cook and turn too soft..

you're not preparing baby food!)

In a "soufflé" pan.. spread butter all over..

(I didn't know what soufflé is, lol, so just get something

similar to the photo) =P

Add quarter of the crumble (which was supposed to have stayed

for around 40-50 mins in the fridge) or enough

to cover the base of the pan..

Add the cooked apples..

Then cover with the rest of the crumble..

Next put it into the oven in temp 180-200 for 40-50 mins..

Take out from oven and set aside for 10 mins to cool down..

(Unlike me who dived into it and got my tongue burnt) *ssss*

Cut into slices and add a ball of ice-cream..

(Pralines and cream flavor recommended!)

Top with whipped cream too! *slurp*

Bon Appetite!! =D

Still Hungry?
