Chocolate Brownies

~Irresistible Brownies ~

 

Makes around 20 brownies

 

Ingredients

3/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
2/3 cup vegetable oil
1/2 cup boiling water
2 cups sugar
2 eggs 
1+1/3 cup white flour
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 cup chopped walnuts or pecans (optional)

 

Method

©Preheat the oven to 350F (180C). Grease a

   9x13inch (22x33 cm) baking pan.

©In a large bowl, stir together the cocoa and

   baking soda, blend in 1/3 cup of the oil and 

   mix until smooth.

©Pour in the boiling water, stirring until the

   mixture thickens, then stir in the rest of the

   oil, sugar, and the eggs mix until smooth.

©Add the flour and vanilla, blend well (There 

   should be no lumps). Mix nuts if desired, then

   pour into the greased baking pan. Spread the

   batter evenly to avoid crispy edges.  

©Refrigerate for around 15 minutes

©Bake for 35 to 40 minutes. Make sure not to

   overcook the brownies, they're always better

   slightly soggy.

©Finally let cook and then cut into equal squares.

   But you can't wait that long, can you!? ;)

 

*You may want to top with some chocolate icing for that full

chocolaty taste!*
