I finally was able to make a successful Sushi dish (after doing a proper research online)!! *yaay* Along with the continuousingly-failed attempts of creamy chicken pasta.. apparently it turned out to be REAL easy thanks to Samsoomah's directions.. ;)
Anyways presenting my two-always-been-addicted-to dishes: (click to view recipe)

Tell me how it turns out if you tried it.. Bon appetite wa if6araaan shaheeyan! =P

[craving: more..]

Few days ago, I heard a lecture about 9adaqa (giving money to the poor), and I know we've all heard it all before.. but when you really think deeply about it.. & listen to how rewarding it really is.. it totally changes your perspective..
قال صلـــى اللــه عليــه وسلــــم: ما نقص مال من صدقة
Which means, no matter how much you give to the poor.. God will make it up to you in your life, not to mention the rewards in the after life..Think about it, since its Ramadan, the money you would usually spend on a regular day out with your friends, dinner treats and probably shopping for useless things that you cannot even remember.. is better spent on the poor.. If you stop thinking you give too much.. think of the already wasted money you spent on other useless, unrewarding things..
Maybe also dedicate a day & do some serious screening in your room.. look around you.. how long has some clothes been sitting idle and untouched in your closet? Forget about the silly thoughts that might pop in your head: "You spent a fortune on that Designer top.." or "You MUST have aaawll the shades of pink shirts- not any less" or "Ofcourse these 5 black skirts are different than each other!".. You know they're already expired from your likings.. & you wouldn't wear them again.. Think of those who have to wait for ages till they can finally afford a new pair of shoes.. or have to be sharing their very limited clothes with their many sibilings..
It is the holy month of giving & thinking of the less fortunate.. so what's stopping you in making use of this? You already got the whole year thinking about yourself.. a merely-one-month wouldnt hurt to dedicate to others..
& trust me.. at the end of the day.. when you think you brought joy to other people.. deep down inside.. you made your soul smile too.. =)
Ramadan Kareem everyone..

[mood: Spiritual]
[craving: The right way]

For the first time in my life, I am officially not watching any TV series in Ramadan.. I made my decision from the 1st day, when I finally convinced myself that the 1 or 2 hour spent watching a series, are better spent in reading Quran or doing something useful.. Plus the fact that I won't be running around like a drug addict when its time for the show and kill anyone who would change the channel! lol
Anyways, you might of noticed, but I added the schedules for Abu Dhabi & Dubai Ramadan lectures on the side ------------->Special thanks to Karroozi & gevitar.. =)

I also added this very useful file I got from a forward at work; the whole Quran in a word document.. for your convenience.. also found in the side menu ------------------>
If you happen to have any more schedules for Ramadan lectures, please don't hesitate to send them to me! =D oo yzakom Allah 5air

I don't have anything else to say.. tqabal Allah 9eyamkom oo a3malkom ajma3een.. =)

[mood: 5arban]
[craving: unmentionable]

Only during these few days.. It just sank into me the impact of this website on my life.. & I cannot help not getting a little frustrated about these two things:
1) People I care about don't bother calling me because 'they already read in my website what i am up to'.. so why call?
2) Alot of others contact me on email.. addressing me with my real name but prefer to remain hidden behind nicknames.. (because as I already & always mention that I am sure alot of this website visitors know me personally.. & yet I still live in denial grasping onto the very few who have no idea whatsoever..) That, however, is not what's bugging me.. what bothers me is the fact that I feel as if I am on a stage, with a blinding light on my face, exposing myself to everyone & yet I am so blinded I cannot see the faces of my audience or know anything about them..
Ok I know this all comes with the website package.. the tax of having an online journal.. & I know that it would always remain this way.. but I felt as if I had to mention this out loud to make me feel a little better..
Yes, I'm having one of those mood swings *rolling eyes*

Anyway, enough complaining.. few days ago I "attempted" to make my own home-made sushi & it turned out to be a BIG MISTAKE! lol I underestimated the 'easiness' of making sushi.. & ended up with something that looked exactly like edible sushi but tastes completely disgusting!! (X_x) Maybe I should post the recipe of how NOT TO MAKE SUSHI so people don't repeat my mistakes.. lol
Oh well, at least now I know for sure that the sushi should left to be made by its own people, & I should stick to sitting on the other side of the plate with my chopsticks waiting to attack! lol =P

Ramadhan is very close.. I cannot believe already a year passed since the last one ended, it feels as if it was yesterday! Already I am looking ahead a very hectic (& hopefully spiritual) month ahead.. may yours be filled with good deeds oo kil 3am oo intoo b5air.. =)

Happy fasting everyone.. =)
