So my weekend I spent sick in bed, a virus, they say, crushed my system.. not that I could afford any time being sick, but I guess it was meant to be..el7amdellah 3ala kil 7al.. So I was left with barely half a Friday to study what I was supposed to for my not-so-favorite subject of Accounting! *barf*
Every time i sit to face my dull accounting book & notes, i find myself automatically launching into the auto-pilot mode of daydreaming.. Actually to put it into better terms, getting the info into my head is like trying to feed a naughty little kid.. Every time you attempt to feed him, he turns away & runs.. *frrrr* & you run after him with the spoon in your hand! & you keep trying & trying to run after him & feeding him until he is well-fed.. lol
So a usual self-study session would go like this: (only in boring subjects, e.g. accounting)
My Brain *reading*: “Net-operating profit margin equals NOPAT/sales.. Profit margin can be used to compare one income statement number with another..” My subconscious: Hey!! Have you heard that they opened the new section of the Marina mall?! Everyone says its so spacious.. it would get lots of sunshine, & new shops! LV, Fendi, did they also say they opened Burrbery? Hmm who cares? I am not a Burrbery person anyway.. I wonder when will I ever get the chance to check it out, GOD I hate my hectic, full-to-the-very-last-minute schedule!My Brain: *GRRR* HEY C-O-N-C-E-N-T-R-A-T-E! Now back to the book *steers eyes away from ceiling & into the books* Now where were we? Ok pop quiz.. What does NOPAT stand for?My subconscious: NOPAT? No patting on ur back lol.. I wonder who is online at this time?? *quickly logs on msn offlinely* Ooh.. SHMILY is back.. i must pop in & say hello! I wonder how her Thailand trip was..My Brain: Say hello & chat endlessly? Is that what you’re going to write in your test? Or would that be the solution to your case study? What will you tell your study mates tomorrow? *RoOoooar* READ!!! *eyes back to the book* "It is commonly used to compare the performance of one company over time &/or its performance vis-á-vis its competitors"My subconscious: Oh there's a fancy lil word: Vis-á-vis.. now how was that pronounced? VeeeezAveeez... yeeeez.. NO.. no.. It was more of Vee-Za-vee.. oui.. oui trés bien! Oh oh oh looool remember that episode from Friends when JOEY speaks french!? hahahaha vooolaavoous blaaah.. loool Hey thinking about TV shows.. Desperate housewives latest episode download is now complete.. EXCELLENT time to watch!!My Brain: Yeah minus 45 minutes of your time to watch an episode that is already saved in your computer & can watch ANYTIME any other day of your life.. stop PROCRASTINATING! READ REEEAD!My subconscious: lol now wouldn’t this be a funny thing to update about? I guess I do need to update more often.. That’s exactly what I will do right now.. UPDATE my website!! HeheMy Brain: I give up..

You know you are the luckiest girl in the world when you find yourself sick in bed, and your dad sitting by your side, reading you miscellaneous articles from the newspaper.. even though the lights were quite dim, & he had to squint his eyes extra hard through his thick reading glasses in order to read the words.. At that moment, I was grateful.. & very touched.. Even though he may not have realized it, but that simple little jesture, meant the World to me..
I love you daddy.. forever & ever & ever..

F-I-N-A-L-L-Y! This is officially one of the toughest entries that I have ever faced in my blogging life! Literally ZERO time to update.. with all the hecticness of work, studies, family, friends.. *hoof* I am THE most relieved person that I have finally managed to get this online!! *PHEW*

The trip to Japan was certainly one of its kind, yet surprisingly, I don't see myself going back for a second visit. I guess its just going to be one of those "been there, done that" kind of places.. & regarding your question Sara D'amore, no it's not an ideal honeymooners' destination.. Stick to the islands gurrrl ;P

During the weekend, my friends threw me an early birthday surprise party & the theme was my website!! lol The colors, the pic, kittens & cats.. even the food was from the Hungry section!! loool That was hilarious & totally a great surprise!! Thaaaaaanx M&Ms, Leo, MissArmani, Samsoomah, MedGirl & Saj! You truly made my day!! *hugs*
