[craving: zzz..]

Its so sad that we let the hectic life drift us away from our once-usual regular every-day things.. I was just sitting the other day thinking about how 'short' our day have become, and the time seems to be eaten up very quickly till u get used to it.. and the things you used to have time for.. are slowly being eliminated from your day in the excuse of lack of time.. until gradually, without realizing it, you totally cancel them out from your life.. o_O
I used to write for endless hours..I used to read a whole book in less than a week..I used to sit with my family for more than 3 hours a day..I used to fit daily walks with my brother perfectly into my schedule..I used to paint, sketch, design stuff.. without having to look at the time..I used to finish one magazine in one day..I used to have time for photography..I used to update more often..I used to do alot of things.. I don't do anymore.. =/
What did you used to do?

Twice a year, every year, I always say I will be prepared for Eid at least a month before.. but I never.. never.. learn, and end up leaving everything till the last moment.. and still have the nerve to complain that all the good stuff are gone from the market.. ~sigh.. Hope you are better prepared than me.. and hope your Eid is a joyful one.. =)

I might not be updating for a while coz I will be away + my webbie is being moved to a new home.. Until then, wishing you a 3eed Mubarak.. and may our 7ojaaaj come back safely from their 7aj trip.. =)

[Final whisper: Go ahead.. Miss me.. coz I already do..]

The say that "eldenya fraag", and that there will always be some point in your life where you will say goodbye to someone forever.. whether they pass away from it physically.. or mentally from your mind.. The aftermath of these incidents is usually unbearable, especially if the person is so dear to you.. but then again the continuous symphony of life wisdom is repeated to you over and over again.. "Live, and learn.. What doesnt kill you, only makes you stronger.. Patience is a virtue.. ect" Its at these moments, nothing makes sense to you and all proverbs sound like nonsense.. All you really need, is a listening ear and a shoulder to lean on..

Back to the virtual world, for those endless emails of people asking me to link them, no I am not ignoring you, you just happen to email one very lazy person. I promise I will do it soon! In the mean time, for those who are as clueless as me in technical stuff, and need desperate, very friendly help, e3ashig now offers his services through E-Labs.. highly-recommended.. ;)

[Final whisper: Happy Birthday VOID! ;)]

[craving: my goal]

In the 80ies, we lived through a period where only local channels were available. A little twist in the two metal TV aerials, you’d get a few TV channels, and sometimes if you’re lucky, a clear CH33. Those days, the concept of TV commercials was just introduced, especially in the Gulf channels. I remember the soap commercial “Lux” where a mo7ajaba woman would lather a little soup foam on her cheeks, and that was about it from what we saw from the woman- her face. Shampoo commercials will only show the women wearing 7ejab, then her hair from the back- which was ironically funny.
Then came the 90ies, the satellite was introduced and essential in every house. The advertising became more popular. It was normal now to see women without the ‘old-fashioned’ 7ejab. This period was also known for the miserable failure in attempted advertising- a corny action-packed dance ad for a can of tomato paste or a new supermarket or just about anything else. Introduction of the embarrassing women pad ads- where a ‘proud’ woman would give her testimonial on the product, and how ‘comfortable’ she now feels after using it. Not to mention, the other ads were a few sad people are fooled into a silly scene, making total fools of themselves and thinking they are ‘advertising’ successfully.
Then here we are, the new millennium, were advertising leaped into another new concept, where we got a little over-dose in the West injection into our market. More women flesh is seen in most of the ads than ever. The element of seduction is introduced and became an essential part in the commercial. Women showering, feeling their ‘soft’ legs, or even waxing in public have become something very normal. And just until recently, Viagara and other similar products are being comfortably introduced in our Arabic TV channels.
One would wonder, the extreme leaps of changes within a few years time in these commercials. Unlike before, sitting infront of the TV with family has become less comfortable with the fear that an embarrassing commercial would pop out anytime. Now we have to make sure our kids are nearby so we can block their eyes soon enough before being exposed to these ‘PG-13’ ads. Looking back in time and noticing the extreme changes within a few years make me only fear what they will show in 2-3 years? Is this how ‘open-minded’ and ‘civilized’ we should be now? What’s the use of movie ratings since such things are exposed in normal TV? Should we just shut up now, and swallow this sour spoon of ‘development’ into our life? I will leave this as an open-ending for you..

[Final whisper: I do not have to justify.. me]
