Paris Pleasures

mood: Staaaaarving now!
craving: FOOD lol & Paris =p

This is the last of my Paris posts.. which had to be the SWEET ending..;)

I’ll share just SOME of the many pleasures you can experience from the most romantic city in the world! You cannot visit it and not indulge in at least one of them:

Enjoying candy floss from across the street while admiring the glittering Eiffel Tower at night.. *sweeet*

Laduree macrons!! *cries my heart out* WHEN will they open their branch in the UAE?? WHEN!?!? =**(

& you must have at leeeast one meal in the Laduree restaurant or bar!

While you are there, you may as well experiment macrons from other places which also taste really good.. after all, who makes them best besides the Parisians ;)

Chanel 31, rue Cambon, Paris.. Where it awwwl started..

& my personal fav: The Louboutin Boutique in Paris.. has the best display ever with a gorgeous shoe ferris wheel!! This man is a genius! <3

Ofcourse I went crazy given this is one of my weaknesses & got me a generous collection of the famous red soles.. <3

The best steak & fries ever is served in this little restuarant tucked in a corner off the Champs Elysees street.. Le Relais de L’Entrecote is a must visit! Very casual, very crowded & no, you cannot make reservations! Instead, you show up & line up till its your turn to sit ;)

As soon as you sit, there are no menus. Instead the waitress will simply ask you: Rare, medium or well done? When you reply, she jots it on the table itself, takes your drink order & leave..

While you are waiting for your order, you get a green salad (whether you like it or not).. & omg it tasted soooo heavenly!!

It was sooo good, even my anti-salad brother wiped his plate clean!

Next they get the steak & fries.. *YUMMMM*.. & when you are done hovering your plate, thinking its all over.. you get a SECOND serving (again, whether you like it or not!) loool

Another place to try is L’Avenue restaurant for lunch in Paris.. Beautiful food.. beautiful atmosphere.. =) I ordered their Tiger Prawn Risotto.. & it tasted great..

Market, another Parisian restaurant, is also good for lunch or dinner.. You pay one price and choose two items from their one page menu, or another price for three.. =)

In almost every corner in Paris, you would run into a chocolate boutique, each unique in their own way.. Try & experiment.. after all.. how can you even resist the temptation!

Talk about combining two pleasures in one! A chocolate high heel shoe.. =p

That’s it! I am starving now.. & terribly miss Paris already..

Have a happy Friday everyone =*

final whisper: Can't wait for.. ;)

& a few more Paris pics

mood: =D
craving: still

Trying to pick a few photos from the gazzilion ones that I took is difficult.. here is part deux from Paris with luvvv..

One of the places we first visited was the mosque in Paris.. It was quite big and spacious from the inside.. =)

There were ALOT of beggars in Paris & London.. (& each doing it in their own way)..

“Mont Martre”.. one of my fav places where you find many artists displaying their unique work & style..

You cannot just walk around there without being ‘captured’ by an artist who would draw/paint/sketch you!

This is my artist supposedly drawing me! loool

Nutella freshly made crepes (too bad I couldnt have any)

Fouquet Barrier’s lobby.. a funky, unique hotel that is in the best location in Paris..

It always fascinated me how much work and effort was put into the details of art in palaces and mansions in the past.. even the ceilings were filled with detailed artistic masterpieces.. (This photo was taken in the Varsailles Palace)

On top of the Eiffel Tower.. =p

The best time to go on top of the Eiffel is during sunset.. that way you can capture Paris at its finest moments..

Just like the movies.. =)

final whisper: Thanks NAK for speaking up in 'tight' times ;)

Passionate about Paris <3

mood: Extreeeeme
craving: Dinner with..

I’ve been back from my beautiful break in Paris & London for some time now, but dipped so fast into my busy life back home plus the super efficient @*#!tisalat’s internet services that were not available as usual..

Ofcourse I took looots of photos & shall start posting them.. Enjoy ;)

A mini ‘original’ version of the famous Statue of Liberty.. in a park in Paris.. It’s amazing how such a super famous American icon is originally a gift from France..

Lafayette <3

One of the yummiest desserts in Paris: Nutella ice cream in a cup *yummmmm*

You cannot go to Paris & NOT visit the Louvre! It was one of the BIGGEST museums ever.. (Is it the biggest in the World?) & its coming soon to Abu Dhabi! ;) <3

An interesting repetitive sight in the Louvre: are students trying to copy the world-known paintings & they were ALL so amazingly done!

& ofcourse, I had to visit the Monalisa in the Louvre (which was surprisingly a tiny painting behind several borders) & I crossed one of the things I had to do before I die! =p

Debauve & Gallais chocolates.. the official chocolatiers for the King of France.. & are considered one of the most expensive chocolates in the world.. They had to-die-for macron-shaped chocolates.. *yummm* too bad I didn’t bring much back home =(

Going up the circular steps of the “Arc de Triomphe” in my super high heeled boots ;p

The Champs Elysees at night from the top of the Arch

That’s all for now.. waiting for more soon! ;)

final whisper: Alot of social catch ups & so little time!
