I cannot understand how lightly ppl at the ministry of education take this matter!!! This is the method of where students will learn proper Arabic..their MOTHER TONGUE How could they do it in such a weak unprofessional manner?!

I don’t mean to make it silly and easy but I mean make it in a way that a child would understand and comprehend .. And whats with the silly images?!! We’re in 2008 and the UAE is full of talented graphic designers and artists that could definitely do a better job.. and maybe for free too..

Mub 3eeb that the government wouldn’t mind bringing international consultants and experts for tiniest reason but not do so for the future of their young generation ?? !! walla thats because it’s not an income generating sector?

Ya3ni if parents, brothers & sisters won’t speak up.. who will?

EVERYDAY on the radio they complain about everything but no one mentions this..

ur exactly like me, actually i was teachging ma lil sis the same book and there is many lessons that i didn’t understand Or i didn’t know it!
so many “Tan8ee3at” bel habal! like 3ala ayamna
there is hind and hamad(hamad akala el samak) SEE how simple it it!
Not like now and ya i don’t know what beyond the complexity in grade ’s 1 books!

ya this is supposed 2 be an arabic book, BUT ya am teaching ma lil sis the same book and there is many “Tan8e3aat” you know . even the lessons, some lessons i didn’t hear of it or i didn’t what the questions meant 2 be???? even am 20 yrs old in her second year college!

بصراحه انا وياج في كل كلمة قلتيها المنهج مستوي صعب انا الحين صف 3 عدادي ويعطونا اشياء مامنها فايده ……………………
بس بصراحه انا عيبتنييه صورة عنتر واللي مايعرف عنتر ترا هو عنتر بن عمرو بن شداد العبسي في ايام عصر الجاهليه وهو شاعر……..
هذي القصص الواحد لازم يقراها بصراحه ويعرفها…….
مثلا قصة وائل بن ربيعه..بن الحارث بن مرة بن عبيرة التغليبي والملق ب (كليب) فخر العرب اخو ابو ليلى المهلهل الزير سالم……….
بس للأسف كل هاي الأشياء راحة ههههههه

My kids are going to the Abu Dhabi Japanese School. (^_^) I will teach them arabic at home! =p I doubt I can pass a 1st grade arabic exam if its this complicated! lol allah y3eenhum!

Good post Kitten! Enlightening & very true, however please don’t be offended but I was truly shocked that alot of people didn’t know a lady bug is a da3sooqa lol !
We are “Ummat Iqra”, so why should we restrict our children to the books they read in school! True we are facing a problem, but each of us has the solution in his/her hands.
In the very end it’s every parent’s resposibility to be able to direct his child to love his mother tongue, the tools are all out there. I visit Jareer every month and I have found many beautifully illustarted simple books for children in Arabic about il Akhlaag, 9elat il Ra7im, Al Athkaar etc. There are even really good simple books about Qawa3id with pictures that I wish we had in mar7elatna il ibtida2eya ^_^

the point is not its’ difficulty, I believe..it’s about the subjects..the ideas so boring & not-related to life, y3ni 3blah ao 3ntar for God’s sake..is it a good stroy/characters for their age & lole..with obama out there..madri, it’s so 5rb6ation =X
