Swept away to a desert island

craving: The REAL experience

I’ve always heard about Sir Baniyas Island.. but never had the chance to visit it except a week ago.. After the short flight, we were warmly welcomed by the friendly staff there.. I never expected it to be the way it is.. magnificent! With all the animals set to run freely.. the gorgeous desert landscapes & the crystal clear beaches.. I wasn’t only swept away with how beautiful it is.. but also with the special people I was with.. =)

I also got to experience the luxurious newly opened Anantara Hotel.. cozy, beautiful rooms/villas & friendly people..

This was my first time on such a plane..

Lounge upon arrival in Sir Baniyas visitor’s centre..

The Rheem gazelles were everywhere in the island.. as well as llamas, flamingoes, giraffes and many others..  unfortunately I didn’t get the chance to take photos of other animals..

Highly recommended.. especially with a group of activity-lovin’ friends.. ;)

    I Had the pleasure of visiting Sir BanYas before when I was in high School, We were taken there to camp from the school ,, stayed there for 4 days :D Was aMaaaaaaZing,,

    yet there were no Hotels <_<

    I’d love to go visit it again now,,, is it open for public already !!!!!

    I do love this island along with Dalma also .. I visited them once when I was in high school .. I had a blast .. cause it was with my friends .. a school planned trip with other over uae schools also ..
    the place looks very different than b4 .. I was already planning to go there as soon as kids in he family finish their schools or in Eid .. it will be a heaven for me & my camera :D
