Bahrain GrandPrix 2007

[craving: My Baby Cupid!]

Last week, I got to experience one of the most exciting events ever!! The Bahrain GrandPrix 2007!! Flew in and out (~in style baby) the same day, and it turned out to be a memorable, adrenaline-rushed day.. & to top it all, the Ferrari team we were cheering won the race! *Woo-hoo*

Knowing me ofcourse, snapped 1000s of photos, here are just a few of them!

Goat Auction

A few days ago, a friend quickly told me to switch to “Al Waha” Channel.. (Yeah, I didn’t hear about it until now) to check out something showing on it immediately.. & so, anxious with curiousity, I flipped the channels & there it was: A serious, big auction event for goats!
OK.. ok.. some of you might think so what?! But my surprise wasn’t really hooked on the concept of the auction, but what they were actually auctioning and with ridiculous prices! Apparently, a rare breed of goats, that *ast’3fr Allah.. ast’3fr Allah* look like birth-defected goats.. (>_<) & people were buying them for over AED100,000 each.. going up till about 160,000 (or probably more especially when I switched the channel before it all ended)..

I was already aware of auctions of certain breeds of camels and horses.. but never knew it was applicable to goats (& especially ones looking like that).. & I don't really understand it! Why would you pay great amounts of money (let alone any money at all) to buy such creatures that may come visiting you again in a scene during your random dreams at night.. *gulp* My friend also said that this is done in regular basis (maybe weekly) so you might be lucky to witness the wonder if you had some extra time in your hands one day.. lol
