Look beyond what you see...

earthquake!

[mood: Surprised]
[craving: End of the month]

If you live in the UAE, then you probably had been shaked into how REAL disasters can happen to you or to anyone you know when you least expect it! Today people from Dubai, some from Abu Dhabi, & other Emirates experienced a mini earthquake.. It was a few moments of vibration.. yet left everyone shocked & surprised from the totally unexpected experience..! *el7amdellah 3ala kil 7al*
Ofcourse there were different reactions in different areas.. Alot of buildings and offices were evacuated in Dubai.. Other people were seen gathering outside in Sharjah & RAK.. I heard about a few companies also evacuating their employees in AD (7ashrin ma3a elnas 3eed).. but we just continued working as usual.. lol
I personally didn’t feel it.. as well as many people I know here.. some of my colleagues however, said they all felt it & how it shook their tables & computers as they worked.. lol My mobile also didn’t stop ringing, people calling me warning me about the ‘earthquake’! My friends from Dubai were trying to talk me into saving my life & going home! lol But I chose to take my chances, & risk my life while in duty.. =P
BuRashed had snapped a few shots to share of glimpses of the situation in Dubai.. Zayed road was in a state of alarm.. People from very high floors had to come running down the stairs in panic during the evacuations.. & some were even crying.. Ofcourse BuRashed managed to escape the danger in his new hot wheels.. *mabrook 3ala elsporty toy btw!* ;) Though the pictures aren’t much, but he promises to take better ones in the next ‘earthquake’ lol *bsmellah 3alaina!*

Moments like this make one wonder what if it really happened? I found myself looking at the window, & thinking about the 101 ways of trying to escape an earthquake.. How will I react, where will I go, who will I save.. *rolls eyes* (yes, I like to think I would save someone in times of crisis lol) What about the others? How can we save our loved ones? What would we really be capable of at those times?
Ofcourse its really sad that people in another part didn’t even have time to think about it.. the real earthquake did happen in Iran.. & there were people who significantly suffered from it.. May God be with them & protect them..
So think about it for a moment.. what would you really do if an earthquake really striked? What would happen if you find yourself loosing everything? Maybe even facing death? Are you really ready for that? Do you think you are up to what’s coming next when there’s no turning back? Just think about it..
[Final whisper: Thank God all my loved ones are safe & comfortable.. Allah y7fa'6hom kilhom inshallah..]
